Online saviour

I HAVE tried for the last couple of weeks to get a shower seat for my 91-year-old mother from nHS equipment services.

I was advised that there first has to be an assessment, involving Social Services making a visit to my mum. It takes ten days to arrange a visit, then another ten days at least before the equipment can be delivered.

I did question the wisdom of sending strangers to visit my elderly mother, considering coronavirus. Thank goodness for husbands and Amazon, who resolved this problem with a click on the computer.
