ALBERT BARTLETT NOVICES’ HURDLE

-

2.50: GRADE ONE — 2 MILES 7 FURLONGS

THeRe have been huge shocks in this race with winners at 50-1, 33-1 (three times) and 16-1 in the last decade, so with a host of hurdlers tackling a severe test of stamina for the first time, it is wise to keep stakes to a minimum. LATEST EXHIBITION tops a lengthy shortlist as he galloped on strongly to lift a Leopardstown Grade one at the Dublin Racing Festival, a performance which suggested there was improvement to come over three miles. He had to battle hard to overhaul Cobbler’s Way and may confirm the placings. Cobbler’s Way had accounted for Sempo when they met at Leopardstown. However, the last 100 yards saw Sempo erode the gap and he could prove a live outsider as he tries three miles for the first time.
