Dim sum guys have all the luck... Rod’s anniversar­y Chinese

AFTER 13 years of marriage, a cosy takeaway can be as much fun as a lavish party.

And Sir Rod Stewart showed that this even applies to multi-millionair­e rocks stars as he and his wife Penny Lancaster marked his wedding anniversar­y.

The coronaviru­s lockdown meant that their celebratio­ns had to be more modest than usual – but the couple embraced the occasion.

Miss Lancaster, 49, posted a picture on Instagram of herself and Sir Rod, 75, sitting eating a takeaway meal with chopsticks and enjoying a glass of wine in the back of their car.

The former model wrote alongside the photo: ‘Celebratin­g our 13th wedding anniversar­y with a trip into

‘Cheers to my beautiful wife’

London for a take-out in Hyde Park, cheers everyone, good health.’

Miss Lancaster wore a colourful and cool-looking summer dress while Sir Rod sported white jeans, floral shirt and blue blazer. He completed his look with a hat and some bright patterned trainers.

In another photograph they could be seen toasting their special day under a tree.

Sir Rod saluted his third wife on Instagram, with the snap, captioned: ‘Cheers to my beautiful wife, 13-in-a-row.’ Miss Lancaster shared the same picture and wrote: ‘Sending love to all.’

The celebratio­ns contrasted with their spectacula­r wedding in an Italian abbey in 2007 after an eightyear courtship, The couple, who have two sons – Alastair, 14, and Aiden, nine – renewed their vows with a big party three years ago.
