Big Brother- style diary room for Sky’s coverage of England’s Test series against West Indies — a move revealed by this column last week — has proved a big success. The highlight was an interview with Stuart
Broad, who was admirably open about being dropped. The ECB deserve credit for putting him up given the Nottinghamshire man had already given an indication of what was to come on social media. After Ben Stokes’ decision to bat first, Broad tweeted a photo of the Ageas Bowl enveloped in overcast skies with a caption: ‘Lads batting hard in tremendous English bowling conditions.’ Perhaps unsurprisingly, he later clarified: ‘100 per cent the right decision at the toss...’
