MARC WARREN clinched his first European Tour title in six years yesterday when he won the Austrian Open by a shot. The Scot birdied two of the last four holes at Diamond Country Club to finish a shot clear of Germany’s Marcel Schneider, in the first event in Europe since the lockdown. Warren, 39, a 150-1 outsider going into the tournament, claimed his fourth Tour victory and first since August 2014. He said: ‘In the years since then, I’ve played very poorly. The break’s been unfortunate for everyone but it came at a good time for me, spending some time at home and trying to get my game ready.’
