Sore losers! Donald fires back at Obama and Hillary attacks

DONALD Trump dubbed Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton ‘sore losers’ after the former President delivered his most scathing attack on his successor.

Mr Obama, who deviated from the presidential custom of not criticising a successor by name, said the former reality TV star is incapable of rising to the challenge of being US President.

‘I did hope that Donald Trump might show interest in taking the job seriously. That he might come to feel the weight of the office. But he never did,’ said Mr Obama.

‘For close to four years now, he’s shown no interest in treating the presidency as anything but one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves.’

He added: ‘Donald Trump hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t. And the consequences of that failure are severe: 170,000 Americans dead, millions of jobs gone.’ Mr Trump didn’t even wait for Mr Obama to finish his prerecorded speech, delivered on Wednesday night to the Democratic National Convention before he fired back on Twitter. He retweeted words that said Mr Obama, pictured, and Mrs Clinton, who also spoke on Wednesday, gave ‘sore losers a bad name’. And exploiting reports that Mr Obama told Joe Biden he may ‘embarrass himself’ if he ran for president, Mr Trump asked: ‘Why did he refuse to endorse Slow Joe until it was all over? Why did he try to get him not to run?’ Mrs Clinton warned voters not to repeat the mistake of the 2016 election when many Democrat supporters didn’t turn out to polling stations to vote for her. She said: ‘For four years, people have said to me, “I didn’t realise how dangerous he was”, “I wish I could go back and do it over.” Well, this can’t be another “woulda, coulda, shoulda” election.’
