SHE is no stranger to stealing the spotlight in daring outfits.
But Lady Gaga took her flamboyance to a new level with nine outfit changes including bizarre Covid-19 masks at an awards ceremony.
The singer, 34 – who has had hits with Poker Face and Bad Romance – showed off a series of over-the-top creations as she won five gongs and performed three songs at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York. Her looks included a green ballgown teamed with a leather mask with antlers and a dramatic metallic sci-fi ice queen. The awards resembled miniastronauts and Gaga picked up on the theme with a bubble helmet.
She also donned a skeleton catsuit and a flowing furry cloak – complete with ‘ears’. Gaga told fans to ‘celebrate yourself, be kind, mask up’. Other winners at the ceremony included Taylor Swift, 30, who got a best direction gong for the video of her single The Man.
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus, 27, caused a stir by swinging on a giant disco globe in a revealing outfit for her performance. The event had been filmed at different locations in New York before it was screened ‘live’ yesterday.
