Out of the mouths of babes

I WAS converting our garage into a playroom for my sons, oliver and aaron on christmas eve and all that was left was to fit the carpet. the finishing touch was setting up a drum kit that oliver, four, had asked for as a present. christmas dawned and i said to oliver: ‘Maybe Santa’s left something in the playroom for you.’ opening the door, he shouted: ‘aaron! come and look — Santa’s brought us a carpet!’ He hadn’t spotted the drums.
