BOSWORTH: THE VIRUS HIT ME HARD

BRITISH racewalker Tom Bosworth has revealed he had coronavirus. The 30-year-old, one of Sportsmail’s seven athletes on the road to the Tokyo Olympics, produced a positive test for Covid-19 antibodies in July. He and fiancé Harry Dineley fell ill in March. Sportsmail: ‘The British Championships were on the cards and I wanted to do a 20k but there is no point flogging a dead horse and performing at 50 per cent. ‘Thankfully I am OK now in terms of the virus and it’s a case of getting back to fitness. But it has been a hard experience.’
