Are £350 trainers for Normal people, Daisy?
SOME of the characters in hit TV drama Normal People could only dream of paying £350 for a pair of Jimmy Choo trainers.
But star Daisy Edgar-Jones gets to wear them for free.
The 22-year-old actress is the face of the high- end shoe brand’s autumn/winter 2020 collection.
Miss Edgar-Jones, who played Marianne Sheridan in the 12-part series, said: ‘I love fashion, I love clothes, I love shoes.
‘[The shoot] was odd and surreal in a post-Covid way but I didn’t have any prior experience, so it’s just become… normal. It’s what I’m used to now.’
She also told Vogue the shoot at London’s Chiltern Firehouse had ‘an element of “fake it until you make it” and pretending to know what you’re doing’.
Despite starring in a drama about ordinary people, Miss Edgar-Jones said: ‘I don’t want to dress like everyone else.’ And with her shirt unbuttoned and legs bare, her shoot definitely makes a statement. In the image, her look is completed with a £350 pair of white trainers.
In another shot she is seen sitting in a car wearing embellished shoes worth £1,695. Miss Edgar-Jones, who starred alongside Paul Mescal in the BBC show, is also pictured in a netted dress and £695 black leather boots.
