JAMES SEALS £22M SWITCH TO GOODISON

JAMES RODRIGUEZ has become Everton’s standout summer signing after completing a £22million move from Real Madrid. The Colombia forward, 29, reunites with Carlo Ancelotti, with whom he worked in Spain and at Bayern Munich. Rodriguez has signed a two-year deal with the option for another 12 months. He has been on Merseyside since Thursday and completed his medical late last week. Everton will now aim to conclude a deal with Watford for Abdoulaye Doucoure. ■ NEWCASTLE have completed the £20m signing of Callum Wilson and could now hand him Joelinton’s No 9 jersey. Wilson, 28, was joined by former Bournemout­h team-mate Ryan Fraser at St James’ Park yesterday, the winger arriving on a free. Norwich left back Jamal Lewis, 22, is expected to sign today in a £15m move. Newcastle may fail in their bid to sign Arsenal’s Rob Holding on loan, with Mikel Arteta having second thoughts about allowing the centre back to leave.

■ WOLVES are close to adding Porto midfielder Victor Ferreira on loan with view to a £17.9m deal. Known as Vitinha,

his arrival would follow Fabio Silva’s £35m move from Porto.

■ CHELSEA’S Ethan Ampadu has joined Sheffield United on loan. The Wales defender, 19, becomes Chris Wilder’s fourth signing of the week following Jayden Bogle and Max Lowe from Derby, and West Brom’s Scottish winger Oliver Burke, 23.

■ CHELSEA are hopeful of reaching a compromise with Rennes over keeper Edouard Mendy, 28, after offering around £20m. Chelsea’s Kenedy, 24, is joining Granada on loan but Michy Batshuayi, 26, has rejected West Brom.

■ WEST HAM are waiting for Burnley to respond to their £27m offer for 27-year-old defender James Tarkowski.

■ LEICESTER are willing to offer £20m for Saint-Etienne’s Wesley Fofana, 19. Leicester midfielder Adrien Silva, 31, has interest from Sampdoria.

■ MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Dylan Levitt, 19, is wanted on loan by Charlton.

■ CARDIFF have signed winger Sheyi Ojo, 23, on loan from Liverpool, who also have interest in Rhian Brewster from Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.
