MY FAVOURITE VISITOR

I have a friend who calls each day As soon as daylight comes, He never fails to, come what may, And we’ve both become good chums. My friend is somewhat different From the other friends I know And, just like Mary’s little lamb, Where I am, he’s sure to go. He really comes for breakfast Which never varies much, He simply loves sultanas To show his gourmet touch. I’ve known him now two years or more And enjoy his every visit, He eats his breakfast from my hand With manners quite exquisite. I know one day he’ll disappear Without any parting word, Then I’ll miss him terribly, My lovely tame blackbird.

Now Corona’s come back for round two, Which is what we were warned it might do, It’s no wonder BoJo Is losing his mojo Who’d want his job these days — would you?
