Passed the test

-

AS A change to all the recent ‘ knocking’ of the current Covid- 19 testing facilities I would like to outline my own recent second- tonone experience.

Thursday last I started with a persistent cough and throat becoming sorer by the hour.

Friday came with no improvement even after taking various medications. OK, was this the start of Covid-19? I had not knowingly been exposed to anyone infected but as I am 69 I thought it prudent to seek a test.

I went online at 9pm on Friday evening and after the due questions process secured a test appointment for 9.30am on Saturday morning at a testing station in town, four miles away. I duly attended where I was met by very efficient staff who treated me with courtesy; they helped me through the test process which was completed within ten minutes. Now the wait!

To my delight on checking my email on Monday morning my test result was there . . . Negative, phew!

The results email was sent at 11.15pm Sunday night.

From seeking a test on Friday evening to reading the result on Monday morning this is clearly an excellent service, my thanks to the ‘system’ and all staff involved; you are doing a great job. Don’t be demoralised by the moaning.
