WINDOW WATCH
■ BURNLEY are in talks with Liverpool over £20million-rated winger Harry Wilson. There is hope an agreement can be reached at around £15m for the Wales star, who was on loan at Bournemouth last season. Burnley have agreed a deal for Brighton midfielder Dale Stephens. They will pay an initial £1m rising to £2.5m for the 31-year-old, who has agreed a two-year contract.
■ MANCHESTER UNITED are trying to drive down Porto’s price for Alex Telles, 27, who is out of contract next summer. United are awaiting a revised bid from Roma for defender Chris Smalling, who wishes to leave, having rejected the last offer of around £12m. The Old Trafford club are struggling to find buyers for Diogo Dalot, Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo, Andreas Pereira and Phil Jones, with the club’s asking price for each understood to be an obstacle. United have no plans to sell Jesse Lingard as they continue to seek another attacking option. Talks for Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho have not progressed.
■ MANCHESTER CITY defender Nicolas Otamendi is attracting interest from Porto and Inter Milan. The Argentine, 32, could yet be included in City’s negotiations with Sevilla for Jules Kounde, though Sevilla would prefer a straight cash deal of around £65m for the 21-year-old. City, meanwhile, are keen on Estudiantes winger Dario Sarmiento, 17.
■ ARSENAL midfielder Lucas Torreira is pushing to join Atletico Madrid but they have yet to reach agreement over the deal’s structure. Arsenal want Atletico’s Thomas Partey and are also willing to loan out winger Reiss Nelson.
■ SOUTHAMPTON defender Wesley Hoedt is joining Lazio on loan with the option to make the deal permanent. French side Angers are keen on Saints winger Sofiane Boufal.
■ EVERTON have been offered Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo on loan.
■ LEEDS are close to signing defender Diego Llorente from Real Sociedad and have asked about Levante midfielder Jose Campana.
