GUARDIOLA SEALS £62m SIGNING OF DEFENDER DIAS
• MANCHESTER City have completed the £62million signing of centre back Ruben Dias on a six-year deal from Benfica. Nicolas Otamendi has gone the other way for £13.6m. Dias, 23 and capped 19 times by Portugal, said: ‘It is really exciting to be part of such a talented squad and to play for a world-class manager like Pep Guardiola, who has a proven track record of developing young players like myself.’ City also want to sign a left back and have monitored Bayern Munich’s contract talks with David Alaba. They are also interested in Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico.
• LEICESTER CITY are signing Saint Etienne defender Wesley Fofana in a deal worth up to £36million. The French side confirmed they had agreed to sell the 19-year-old for a club record fee which includes substantial add-ons. Fofana was Leicester’s prime target but Saint Etienne’s resistance led them to run parallel negotiations with Burnley for James Tarkowski and Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen.
• LEEDS UNITED have agreed the £18m signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance, 21, on agree a five-year contract. Bayern have a buy-back clause.
• ARSENAL are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over the sale of left back Sead Kolasinac. Arsenal want about £9m for the 27-year-old.
• WEST HAM are discussing a move for Slavia Prague right back Vladimir Coufal, 28. Manager David Moyes needs to strengthen after Ryan Fredericks’ hamstring injury. He is also considering Fiorentina’s Serbia international centre back Nikola Milenkovic, 22.
• LIVERPOOL striker Rhian Brewster has been given permission to speak to Sheffield United following their £17m offer. The Blades are willing to accept a buy-back clause.
• TOTTENHAM’S Ryan Sessegnon is discussing a loan move to Southampton, with Brighton and Celtic also interested. Bournemouth striker Josh King has an offer from Italian side Torino.
