Are festivities at Sandringham off?

-

THE Queen could cancel the Royal Family’s traditional Christmas at Sandringham this year, experts believe.

The 94-year-old monarch has spent the weekend with the Duke of Edinburgh at the estate in Norfolk.

But they returned to Windsor Castle yesterday ahead of the second lockdown – casting doubt on their festive plans. Joe Little, managing editor of

Majesty magazine, said: ‘Clearly it indicates there isn’t going to be any sort of Christmas at Sandringham.’

It would be the Queen’s first Christmas away from Norfolk in 32 years. Prince Philip, 99, has been staying there for the past few weeks while the Queen has been in Windsor.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the festive plans.
