Cheats never change

-

I WASN’T sure whether to laugh at or sympathise with Elisabeth Luard’s article on her cheating husband (Mail).

It was my story, too, and I suspect the experience of many women who married in the 1960s.

Women today really don’t know how lucky they are. They wouldn’t dream of giving up their careers so their husbands could get ahead.

Or stay at home looking after the babies while he stays out late at night having yet another affair. And, yes, he comes home eventually — to make another baby.

It took 23 years to untwist the strands of my relationship with my cheating husband.

I fear that cheated- on women are only putting off the day when they will have had enough because their straying husbands will never change.
