MULTI-NATION EUROS SET FOR RETHINK
UEFA are exploring the option of holding a one-nation European Championship next summer, leaving England’s plans in limbo. The original plan was to stage the Euros in 12 different cities. But it is understood that UEFA are reconsidering those plans for the tournament, which is due to kick-off in June. There is a growing sense that the Euros should revert to the traditional format of holding it in one country, which leaves England’s plans in jeopardy. Gareth Southgate’s men were due to play group games at Wembley, with the final and both semi-finals also set to be held at the national stadium.
