STEVEN GERRARD’S Rangers drew 3-3 with Benfica in Portugal, and today’s return fixture could well decide who tops Europa League Group D. Elsewhere, Celtic need a win in Prague (5.30pm, BT 3), while Leicester (5.30pm, BT 1), Arsenal (5.30pm, BT2) and Spurs (8pm, BT 2) can extend their leads in their respective groups.

MORE from this fun alternative to Top Gear. Tiff Needell is in Austria, having a great time in an electric rallycross car, while Paul Woodman tries out the Pagani Zonda Cinque, which is worth £1 million. Let’s hope he doesn’t dent the bodywork.
GLAMOROUS DRAMA Riviera, 9pm, Sky Atlantic
TONIGHT, we learn that Gabriel once had a wife, and the resulting grief goes some way to explaining his character. It also explains why he’s so happy to be with Georgina (Julia Stiles). She’s even more distracting than booze, but he still finds time to drink lots of that.
SEVENTIES PLAYS
The Norman Conquests, Acorn TV
ALAN AYCKBOURN’S trilogy of plays set in the same house over a weekend are both finely comic and deeply uncomfortable.
They were adapted for ITV in 1977, with a terrific cast that includes Penelope Keith, Richard Briers, Tom Conti and Penelope Wilton.
HOLLYWOOD LEGEND
I Am Patrick Swayze, 10pm, Sky Arts
FAMOUS faces line up to wax lyrical about Swayze, whose skills went way beyond smouldering into the camera. He liked acting because ‘you could never be the best, never reach the end’, but he was also a ballet dancer, figure skater and licensed pilot — and he bred horses.

MACHO crime drama following LA beat cops (Luke Kleintank’s rookie and Thomas Jane’s veteran, pictured). When they look into the disappearance of a young woman, rules get broken.
ROMCOM GUIDE
Mark Kermode’s Secrets Of Cinema, 10.15pm, BBC4
THE critic presents a jaunty guide to the romcom genre in this enjoyable episode. One of his favourites is the mermaid romance Splash (‘I must have seen this film a hundred times’), and he talks about his subject with such passion and insight that it’s a pleasure to watch.
