STOKE want to sign Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis on loan. Manager Michael O’Neill needs to bolster his attack following injuries to Tyrese Campbell and Steven Fletcher. Davis, 22, has made seven appearances this season and may get less game time once Wesley Moraes recovers from his knee injury. The Potters are signing Wales winger Rabbi Matondo on loan from Schalke, who flew in yesterday from Dusseldorf.

LIVERPOOL have ruled out a move for Lille defender Sven Botman this month. The 20-year-old, who joined from Ajax last summer, has been linked with a move to Anfield in January but Liverpool are assessing other targets.

NEWCASTLE, West Brom and Southampton have been offered Hamza Choudhury on loan. The 23-year-old midfielder has made 10 appearances this season, though mostly in the Europa League. Newcastle manager Steve Bruce is a fan of Choudhury and has also asked about a loan for Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori. West Brom boss Sam Allardyce wants a midfielder but can only add one domestic loan as they have Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher. Allardyce also has Mamadou Sakho on his radar.

MANCHESTER UNITED have no plans to loan Amad Diallo back to Atalanta. The 18-year-old £37m signing is set to fly to Manchester today with United processing the paperwork needed to secure his work permit.

SHEFFIELD UNITED, Celtic and Bournemouth want Preston defender Ben Davies, who has turned down his club’s latest contract offer and could sign a pre-contract this month.
