Noble offer

-

WHILE it is noble of elderly people too offer to give up their place in the vaccine va queue to younger people, they th are missing the point.

Once all the highest risk people have been vaccinated, which is largelya the elderly followed by those of working age with specific underlying ly conditions, the mortality and hospital ho admission rates from Covid19 should fall dramatically.

Then young people would be free to return re to normality. The best way to help he ensure the future of our schoolchildren is for those on the priority list to be vaccinated.

KATE CARR, Bicester, Oxon. SUPERMARKET sales assistants mix with more members of the public than almost anyone else, yet they are bottom of the vaccination list.

Many of these unsung heroes have been working extra hours because of staff shortages caused by the virus and panic buying. Where would we have been without them? My sincere thanks to all checkout staff and shelfstackers for doing a job so well.

Mrs J. E. BARTON, New Malden, S.W. London.
