Life-changing op

-

I CAN’T understand why the NHS won’t fund an operation to help 14-year- old Autumn Bradley (Good Health).

She has pectus excavatum, where an overgrowth of cartilage is causing her ribs and chest bone to slowly crush her heart and lungs. The operation to relieve this condition is not cosmetic, as has been claimed.

I had this treatment in 1962. School life had become difficult because I would faint so often. My life improved so much after the operation.
