JOSE: DELE CAN GO

...but Levy still has to sign off PSG deal

- By SAMI MOKBEL

TOTTENHAM manager Jose Mourinho is ready to let Dele Alli leave before Monday’s transfer deadline but chairman Daniel Levy still needs to approve the midfielder’s loan move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Harry Kane’s latest ankle injury, which might mean he misses vital fixtures for Spurs and England, could be another obstacle to

Alli’s hopes of being reunited with Mauricio Pochettino in France.

Mourinho is now understood to have cleared the way for Alli, who has spent the majority of the season on the sidelines, to leave this month — which represents a significant step forward.

All that’s left is for Levy, who has so far shown a reluctance to let Alli (right) leave, to sanction the deal. Talks are ongoing with a view to finding a solution that suits all parties.

Whether Levy agrees to let a player leave who, only 12 months ago, was valued at around £100million will only be known in the final hours of the window.

Alli wants the opportunity to get his career back on track, with the interest from PSG providing an opportunity to play regular

football. With Giovani Lo Celso and now Kane injured, Alli’s hopes of leaving rest with an unexpected change of heart by Levy.

Yet there appears little chance of Alli being given more minutes in Kane’s absence under Mourinho.

When listing his alternatives to Kane, the Spurs boss mentioned Steven Bergwijn, Carlos Vinicius, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Gareth Bale — but not Alli.

Spurs are facing an anxious wait to discover the full extent of Kane’s double-ankle injury suffered in the 3- 1 loss to Liverpool on Thursday night.

Tottenham medics were yesterday assessing Kane, who suffered blows to both ankles against the Reds, amid concerns that he has suffered ligament damage.

The club are waiting for the swelling to subside before Kane has a definitive scan — but any ligament problems could sideline their star striker for at least four weeks.

Kane’s injury will also be a massive concern to Gareth Southgate ahead of the start of England’s World Cup qualifying campaign in March. A lengthy lay-off would leave his captain doubtful.

Meanwhile, Spurs players were left stunned at an angry dressing-room outburst by defender Serge Aurier ( above) during the defeat by Liverpool, with sources claiming he is now fighting to save his career at the club.

Sportsmail revealed yesterday that the Ivory Coast international had stormed out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at half-time after he was substituted by Mourinho during the interval.

Team- mates were said to be shocked at his reaction to being taken off by the Portuguese, who was fuming at the defending for Liverpool’s goal just before the break.

And there are now major question marks over the right back’s prospects for next season, particularly given he has entered the final 18 months of his contract.
