BRITAIN IS A BEACON TO THE WORLD ON DIVERSITY
BLACK people in the UK are much less likely to face racial abuse than in other countries and attitudes to race have become more liberal in recent years.
A study in 2019 revealed 21 per cent of black respondents had experienced racial harassment in the UK – the second lowest figure in Europe.
The report also cited polling which found 93 per cent of Britons disagree that ‘to be truly British you have to be white’ – up from 82 per cent in 2006.
The report’s foreword said the UK was ‘a beacon to the rest of Europe and the world’.
