AWE-INSPIRING new series that details an effort to dive to the deepest points in all five oceans, and to chart the landscape and extraordinary lifeforms which dwell there. It’s being driven by one man, the retired U.S. Navy Commander Victor Viscovo.
FACT-BASED FILM The Mauritanian, Amazon Prime
KEVIN MACDONALD’S drama is based on the true story of Mohamedou Ould Salahi, who was held at Guantanamo Bay without charge for 14 years. Jodie Foster (pictured) and Benedict B Cumberbatch are mesmerising as the lawyers on either side, as is Tahar Rahim R as the imprisoned Mauritanian, even if the film itself is a little bland.
