Fiona unearths a surprise

-

GARDENING gives pleasure to so many of us and is a great way to stay active. However, the physical exertion required can lead to skeletal and muscular discomfort for some.

Fiona Hudson (pictured), 58, from Hertfordshire, is a keen gardener and company director of a family boatyard business.

She swears by Turmeric+, which she discovered a few years ago, when she feared she would no longer be able to continue to garden as much.

‘Gardening has been especially important in the past year. I’d be devastated if I could no longer lift, bend and dig. I’m very hands-on and love to give cut flowers to friends and family.

‘I stumbled across turmeric by chance when I organised a curry night.

‘I ate much more curry, containing turmeric, than I ever usually do — and realised afterwards that it was easier than usual to work in the garden.’

The key active component of turmeric is curcumin. Around the world millions introduce curcumin into their diet by using turmeric in their cooking.

The average daily dose of curcumin in the Indian diet is over 160mg (for an adult), usually consumed in an oily matrix, such as ghee or coconut milk, which helps with absorption. The need for easy absorption is what led the scientists at a Cambridge Cambridge-based based company to create Turmeric+, that uses the patented ‘Curcuma Phospholipid Complex’ formulation.

It’s 30 times more absorbable than standard turmeric and contains vitamin C, which contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage.

Fiona continues: ‘When I researched turmeric supplements online, this one stood out, as it’s scientifically researched and proven to be effective. There was no way I could eat that amount of turmeric through curries on a regular basis, so this seemed like a practical solution.

‘I started taking it and haven’t looked back.

‘Not only am I now able to garden for hours in comfort, I’ve also returned to a fairly intensive exercise class that I had been avoiding for years. I’m over the moon.’
