Living for today

WHAT a joy to see photos of bright young things in our towns enjoying themselves. But it’s astonishing they are drinking to excess and there is no social distancing or masks.

In contrast, their parents and grandparents, who have had the vaccine, are still being sensible.

Why are the 18s to 30s throwing caution to the wind? I suppose their excuse is that there are no jobs, no chance of a life of their own and no affordable properties, so what’s the point? It’s a case of let’s party while we can and who cares anyway.
