Boris, savers’ saviour
I WOULD like to thank Boris Johnson and his Government for paying back up to 80 per cent of the money I and 11,400 others, mostly old-age pensioners, lost when London Capital & Finance went to administration after its directors fraudulently spent our life savings.
They’d claimed in their advertisement in the media, brochures and contracts they were authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This was untrue, but gave me the confidence to invest in this saving scheme.
Concerned financial advisers brought this to their attention, but they ignored that until January 2019 when the firm crashed.
My old age and that of many others has just got a lot less uncomfortable. Thanks!
JOHN WRIGHT, Northampton.
