Terrible treatment

THE treatment of nurse Leona Harris by east Lancashire Hospitals Trust (Mail) has been absolutely appalling. She is exactly the type of person you would want in the back of an ambulance with you if your life was under threat.

You certainly wouldn’t want the jobsworth managers there that have been attacking her for the past four years. The fact that they altered statements and failed to interview 11 supportive witnesses means that they are absolutely not fit for their roles.

They should be sacked without any hesitancy for bringing the trust into disrepute, and this amazing woman should be included in the next honours list for saving a patient’s life by quick thinking and for her amazing charity work.

We need more people like Leona Harris and fewer of the incompetent and, in this case, nasty jobsworths who do nothing but go around ticking boxes. ERIC CRAGGS, Shildon, Co.durham.
