SUPER LEAGUE PUBLICITY TEAM SUBJECTED TO DEATH THREATS

- TOM COLLOMOSSE

DEATH threats were sent to PR staff promoting the European Super League during the 48 hours before the project collapsed on Tuesday evening. Employees of London-based iNHouse Communications, described by Prime Minister Boris Johnson as the ‘Fortnum & Mason of communications’ in a testimonial on the company website, were targeted with vile messages during a tumultuous period for the national game. iNHouse were founded in 2006 by former broadcast journalist Jo Tanner and Katie Perrior, who served as Downing Street director of communications from 2016-17. Perrior and Tanner also led the PR campaign for Mr Johnson’s successful 2008 London Mayoral campaign. iNHouse could not be reached for comment.
