Royal salute for sex brand

BRITAIN’S biggest sex toy brand has received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

Lovehoney was given the award for outstanding continuous growth in overseas sales over the past six years.

The decision to recognise a business in a risqué area did not come from Buckingham Palace. Boris Johnson made the recommendation based on an assessment by civil servants and industry figures.

Lovehoney, based in Bath, can use the Queen’s Award emblem in advertising and on packaging.
