BT have confirmed they are in talks to sell a stake in BT Sport, following reports that Amazon, Disney and DAZN had opened discussions with the company. The Daily Telegraph and the Financial Times reported that the broadcasting giants had begun talks, with BT set to focus on its core phone and broadband business instead. In a statement yesterday, BT said: ‘Early discussions are being held with a number of strategic partners to explore ways to generate investment.’

DANNY INGS’ hopes of making England’s Euro 2020 squad have suffered a major blow. The striker could miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

WATFORD have opened talks with Chelsea over a deal for Ike Ugbo and hope to sign Kwadwo Baah from Rochdale, too. Meanwhile, Newcastle are set to bid around £8million for Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer.
