BILLIE TRIES THE BOND GIRL LOOK

Tomboy 007 singer ditches her baggy clothes for racy lingerie

SHE’S known for her tomboy image and usually hides her figure in baggy T-shirts and jogging bottoms.

But teen pop sensation Billie Eilish has undergone a complete style transformation for her latest photoshoot, posing in stockings, suspenders and a bustier.

The US singer, 19, who performs the theme song for the latest James Bond film No Time To Die, looked unrecognisable after dyeing her striking green and black hair blonde as she posed for her appearance in British Vogue. She was inspired by the ‘aesthetic of mid-20th century pin-ups’ for the lingerie-clad shots.

Miss Eilish previously said she preferred wearing loose-fitting clothes so that no one can discuss her figure, but wanted to try ‘something new’.

‘It’s all about what makes you feel good,’ she told Vogue. ‘If you feel like you look good, you look good.’

Miss Eilish said her new image puts the onus on the viewer rather than her. ‘Don’t make me not a role model because you’re turned on by me,’ she said. ‘It’s about taking that power back. I’m not letting myself be owned any more.’

The Grammy award-winning singer said she has learned that ‘you should be exactly who you feel like you are and want to be in that moment, otherwise you’re going to go insane’.

Editor Edward Enninful said she went to Vogue with an idea. ‘What if, she wondered, she wanted to show more of her body for the first time in a fashion story? The result is Billie Eilish as we’ve never seen her before... and it is the story behind the transformation that is key.’
