Phillips and his wife agree divorce deal
THE Queen’s grandson Peter Phillips and his estranged wife Autumn have agreed a divorce settlement, it was announced yesterday.
Princess Anne’s son and Autumn said they had reached a financial agreement a month after the High Court heard they were trying to settle their divorce.
The couple, both 43, who announced their separation last year after 12 years of marriage, said it was a ‘sad day’ but insisted the agreement was amicable and their two daughters remained their priority. The divorce is the first among the Queen’s grandchildren.
A spokesman for the couple said the settlement had been approved by the High Court. They met at the 2003 Montreal Grand Prix – when Mr Phillips was working for Formula One racing team BMW Williams – and married at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in 2008.
