POLAND became just the second side in the history of the European Championsh­ip to have a player sent off (Grzegorz Krychowiak) and score an own goal (Szczesny) in the same game. The only time it had happened before was for Czechoslov­akia against Holland at Euro 1976. Anton Ondrus scored an own goal and Jaroslav Pollak was sent off. The Czechs still won 3-1!
