Forgotten war heroes
IT’s fantastic news that due to the Mail’s tireless campaign, brave afghan interpreters and their families can come here to start a new life in safety. however, red tape is stopping the interpreters who
worked for the Special Forces. The SAS and SBS were involved in some of the most dangerous fighting against the Taliban. They employed interpreters directly and this minor difference means they do not qualify to come here.
They helped save so many lives and this is how we treat them. They deserve an open invitation to come here along with a ticker tape parade on their arrival.
All it would take is for the Government to cut the red tape and sign a piece of paper — job done!
