Ant’s got his wedding prep down to a tee
SPENDING quality time with your best friend days before your wedding is par for the course.
And Ant McPartlin showed he was no different as he relaxed before the big day this weekend with a round of golf with TV partner and close pal Declan Donnelly.
The Britain’s Got Talent star, 45, hit the fairways as his bride-to-be Anne-Marie Corbett, 43, went shopping with family and friends. The couple, who got together following McPartlin’s split from first wife Lisa Armstrong, 44, in 2018, are expected to wed in front of 100 guests.
They are thought to have hired a stately home-turned-hotel in Hampshire for the reception after they tie the knot at a local church with Donnelly, 45, expected to be best man again – a role he filled for the star’s first wedding. McPartlin, who also hosts I’m A Celebrity with Donnelly, looked at ease as he joked with his pal in Wimbledon, south-west London.
His fiancee, who was once his personal assistant, popped into an upmarket lingerie shop nearby after spending time at a beauty salon. The couple face a £100,000 bill as they pay for their guests to stay in £1,000-a-night rooms at the Hampshire venue while they share the £5,000 honeymoon suite.
McPartlin, who has an estimated £60million fortune, popped the question on Christmas Eve last year with a four-carat diamond ring worth up to £200,000.
The Geordie star split from his wife of 12 years in 2018 months after he was banned from the road for 20 months for drink-driving. They were locked in a bitter divorce battle before finally reaching a settlement last year. Miss Corbett has two teenage daughters from her first marriage.
