11 arrested in Euros final racism probe

POLICE have made 11 arrests over the online racial abuse of England players following month’s final. The UK Football Policing Unit said of the 207 posts on social media identified criminal, accounts 123 belong as to individuals outside the UK. A total of 34 accounts have so far been identified as being in the UK, and 11 of these account-holders have now been arrested. Hartlepool are now taking their claim to the EFL’s Professional Football Compensation Committee.
