11 arrested in Euros final racism probe

- CRISTIAN ROMERO is having a medical at Tottenham after the north London club agreed a £47million deal with Atalanta for the defender.

POLICE have made 11 arrests over the online racial abuse of England players following month’s final. Marcus Jadon Sancho Rashford, Euro last 2020 and Bukayo victims of Saka abuse were after they missed penalties in the shootout defeat at Wembley. The UK Football Policing Unit said of the 207 posts on social media identified criminal, accounts 123 belong as to individuals outside the UK. A total of 34 accounts have so far been identified as being in the UK, and 11 of these account-holders have now been arrested. LEICESTER have not received a bid for James Maddison despite strong interest from Arsenal, according to manager Brendan Rodgers. Maddison (below) has been a top target this summer for the Gunners, who have been working on a playersplus-cash deal. But Maddison still has three years remaining on a £100,000-a-week contract and Rodgers said: ‘I happy to know HARTLEPOOL be here.’ here he is and very UNITED he wants are taking legal action compensation against Fulham for a former as they youth-team seek player. The League Two club have not received a penny for their part in the development of Luca Murphy, who joined them aged nine. In January 2019 the clubs agreed a fee for the player, then 17, and Murphy was given permission to spend a period at Fulham. However, Fulham pulled out of the transfer and the player returned to Hartlepool. It is claimed that Murphy failed on several occasions to attend training sessions and college classes, leaving the club to terminate his contract in March 2019, weeks after his return from visiting Fulham. But within just 11 days of that parting he signed for Fulham on a two-year deal and the club refused to compensate Hartlepool. Hartlepool are now taking their claim to the EFL’s Professional Football Compensation Committee.
