WIZZ Air is offering flights to three newly green-listed destinatio­ns in Eastern Europe from £17.99 one-way. The widest choice is from Luton, with services to 11 airports in Romania and three in Slovakia. Both countries, along with Latvia (pictured), can also be reached from Doncaster Sheffield (wizzair.com).

BAHAMAS BOUND

A TWICE-WEEKLY service from Heathrow to The Bahamas is available from Virgin Atlantic on November 20. Tickets go on sale on August 11, with return fares from £713. The airline is also increasing its flights to Barbados and plans to start routes to Tobago, Cuba and St Vincent and The Grenadines in the coming months (virginatla­ntic.com).

GET ‘PING’ INSURANCE

JET2.COM has extended its Covid-19 insurance to include cancellati­on cover for passengers required to self-isolate on the day of travel as a result of being ‘pinged’ by Test and Trace. This also applies if someone in your household tests positive (jet2.com/flights/insurance).

TUI is making it easy to reach amber-listed

Jamaica this summer. Sun-seekers can now take advantage of flights to Montego Bay that run three times a week from Gatwick, twice from Manchester and once from Birmingham (tui.co.uk; visitjamai­ca.com).

MAURITIUS OPENS UP

THE amber-listed Indian Ocean island will open its borders to fully vaccinated travellers on October 1, with no quarantine restrictio­ns. Weekly flights from Heathrow with Air Mauritius start the following day (airmauriti­us.com; mauritiusn­ow.com).
