Champ Tom hits the dive bars!
FRESH from Tokyo medal success, Tom Daley hit the dancefloor on another night of celebration.
The champion diver, 27, who last week had an evening out in Soho with fellow Olympians, took things up a notch in his home city of Plymouth.
Daley, along with ex GB team mate Tonia Couch and friends, tucked into dinner and cocktails at the Cosy Club, then headed to Plymouth’s gay village and the Gossip and OMG bars.
He made the most of his time off, snapping selfies with friends, and dancing to pop hits. Looking slightly worse for wear, he left the club around 3am yesterday with a little support from female friends.
Daley, who raises son Robbie, three, with his screenwriter husband, Dustin Lance Black, 47, is shortlisted for the National Lottery Olympian of the Year award after winning bronze in the Men’s 10m Platform and gold with dive partner Matty Lee in the 10m Synchro.
WHEN the Paralympic Games begin in Tokyo next week, Great Britain will take its highest-ever proportion of female athletes, with 100 women among the 227 competitors representing our nation on the world stage. Every one of them has overcome adversity, smashing barriers — and world records — on their journey to compete for their country. Here, six of these elite sportswomen and their ever-supportive families tell LIBBY GALVIN their stories of the grit and determination it has taken to reach this pinnacle of sporting success. Event times are shown in BST.
