BAKING, sewing and now hiking — the BBC seems to be on a mission to turn peaceful pursuits into competitions. For this jolly new 15-part show, five hikers go ‘foot to foot’ each week in a Come Dine With Me-style challenge as each hosts a hike before they all vote, and the victor strolls off with a fancy walking stick. First stop, Devon, and a tour of Ilfracombe led by 63-year-old taxi-driver Helen.
