A job worth doing

YET again Tom Utley has hit the nail on the head.

My son is a DIY enthusiast who has improved his family home. After he repaired a leak from the shower that had damaged the hall ceiling, he replaced the plasterboard. That’s when he came unstuck.

If only one of the skills taught at school had been plastering, he would have been able to finish the job.

Like Tom, he needs a skilled man to do it. For a job so small, he’ll have to wait a long time. FRANCES DYKSTRA,
