Trudeau’s new racism shame (on polling day)
a NEW photo of Justin trudeau in blackface emerged yesterday as Canadians went to the polls to decide if he should have a third term as their prime minister.
the picture shows Mr trudeau, 49, wearing a turban and sticking his tongue out with a blacked-up face at an arabian Nights themed party.
In 2019 time magazine revealed similar images from the 2000-2001 yearbook of the private school where Mr trudeau was then a 29year-old teacher.
they showed him in a turban with neck, face and hands darkened. Other photos from Mr trudeau’s days at high school showed him in blackface in a talent show.
the new image was released on twitter by Canadian Proud, an anti-trudeau campaign group. Mr trudeau has yet to respond, but in 2019 he admitted the earlier pictures were racist and apologised.
the Liberal Prime Minister called yesterday’s election early, hoping to capitalise on his handling of Covid and seeking a parliamentary majority after two years of minority government. His main challenger is Conservative leader Erin O’toole.
