ANTHONY HOPKINS relishes playing cannibal serial killer Hannibal Lecter, training his beady eyes on Jodie Foster (pictured with Hopkins) from behind bars. Foster is the FBI cadet who seeks his help to catch a killer nicknamed Buffalo Bill. An intelligent, gory and supremely chilling thriller.

RoboCop, 11.05pm, Ch5

REMAKES and reboots don’t always work, especially when the original was so good, but this update of Paul Verhoeven’s exhilarating (and violent) 1987 sci-fi crime thriller is a good effort. Joel Kinnaman stars as the shot-down cop getting a heavily upgraded new body — in stylish matte black.
