GO AND FETCH IT! LIAM’S MASSIVE SIX
WHILE playing for England in a Twenty20 against Pakistan at Headingley in July, Liam Livingstone hit an astonishing six out of the ground and into the rugby stadium next door. Facing fast bowler Haris Rauf in the 16th over, Livingstone smashed the ball straight back down the ground (1) over the newly constructed Emerald Stand (2). The ball kept travelling and landed in the middle of Leeds Rhinos’ stadium next door (3). The shot travelled a remarkable 122 metres, and Livingstone’s feat drew comparisons with Albert Trott — who remains the only person to have hit the ball over the Lord’s pavilion, doing so in 1899.
