It’s essential for our GPs to treat us face to face
I DEVOTED my working life to being a GP teacher and trainer, and am concerned about the deterioration in patient access to appropriate care at local surgeries.
Clearly many practices are working hard to deliver a service and arranging face-to-face appointments as required.
But a hard core are setting up unnecessary barriers that, in my opinion, restrict the standards of care necessary to deliver a safe service.

IS THERE such a thing as a remote stethoscope?
Otherwise how has my daughter been diagnosed with a chest infection and prescribed antibiotics without being examined by a doctor?
I support the Mail’s campaign for GPs to resume face-to-face consultations. As a former nurse, it pains me to witness the deterioration of patient care.
