Going to seed at 70? Ridiculous! Tell Amanda that it’s the new 50
AMANDA HOLDEN has turned 50, but says she won’t go to seed until she’s 70 (Inspire). since turning 70, I’ve achieved the Couch to 5K, taken up weights, go on dog walks every day and feel fitter than many of the youngsters that I see slouching around. I keep my toy boy husband happy with my youthful appearance and our joint interests. tell Amanda that 70 is the new 50!

DOES Amanda Holden really think that all of us non-famous, older women simply accept we’re finished and give up when we become septuagenarians? I am a slim 76, lead a busy life, still work as a graphic designer, eat and drink what I like, love fashion and have a funky haircut that shows off my curly silver locks. I certainly don’t feel, and hope that I don’t look, as if I’ve gone to seed. If I live to 90, which I anticipate doing, I trust I won’t then either. You may be 50, Amanda, but you haven’t grown up yet.
