Energy bills soar
As A plumber and builder, I’ve insulated properties for the wise for decades.
My home has insulation in the loft, a foil blanket under a concrete floor, the walls are thermal block cavity filled with rock wool and all windows are double glazed.
It’s been calculated all this has saved £420 a year on the cost of my electricity and heating. Yet still the bills go up. I am paying £1,445, up from £995, with EDF. the cost of energy is crippling, particularly for pensioners on fixed incomes.
