Turn it up!

AFTER noticing I’ve started needing to turn up the volume on the TV, I tried to make an appointment for a hearing test at a High street opticians. I was surprised to be told I need a referral from my GP.

When I phoned the practice, I was told I have to make an appointment with the nurse, who will then make an appointment with a GP, who in turn will refer me to the opticians, who will then phone me to make an appointment for a hearing test.

What a ridiculous waste of time and resources, or are they hoping people won’t bother?
