Uniform measurement

I AM interested in the debate about reverting to imperial measurements (letters). My grandson is a royal Marine cadet, the junior section of a proud, historic British regiment.

One evening he asked his nan to sew a badge on to his uniform, insisting it had to be exactly 52mm below a seam.
